The Iowa Great Places Citizen Advisory Board consists of twelve (12) members equally representing political affiliations and geographic regions, as well as a diverse range of professional accomplishments. The Board sets the direction and policies of the program, selects Great Places finalists each year and recommends to the Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs which should earn the designation, assists in awarding Great Places grant dollars, and serves as the public face of the program. They are dedicated to making Iowa an even better state to live, work, and visit.
