Clinton’s Iowa Great Places projects focus on the enhancement and connection of the city’s numerous public spaces along the Mississippi River. The plans for these projects included the outfitting of Eagle Point Park with a Frisbee golf course and the largest observation tower in Iowa, modeled after the many lighthouses along the Mississippi River. A public beach, sculpture garden, recreation trails, and arches on the South Bridge entryway into Iowa are the aspects of Clinton’s proposal which together can revitalize this Great Place.
