Creating Great Places Creating Great Places (CGP) is a non-profit founded in 2008 in west central Iowa to support the ongoing vitality and sustainability of rural communities and rural cultures. CGP carries out environmental, rural arts, historic preservation, recreational and diversity initiatives. It also offer support to other public and nonprofit organizations in the areas of planning, fundraising and communications. http://www.creatinggreatplaces.org
Endow Iowa Grants (IDED) The Iowa Council of Foundations was selected by the Iowa Department of Economic Development as the lead entity to coordinate the Endow Iowa Grant Program. The grants program provides matching funds to new and existing community foundation groups organized in, or themselves, a Qualified Community Foundations to address community needs. Currently, the Endow Iowa Grant Program offers a total of $50,000 annually (2006 to 2008) to new and existing Qualified Community Foundations, or Community Affiliate Organizations. |
